League Rules

I. General Rules

1.  There will be 12 teams.
2.  The regular season will last from Week 1 until Week 14 of the 2007 NFL season.
3.  At the end of Week 14, the three division winners and the remaining team with the best record will make the playoffs. The first round of the playoffs will be in NFL Week 15, and the top-seeded division winner will play the Wild Card team, while the second- and third-seeded division winners will play each other. The winners will play each other and the losers will play each other in NFL Week 16.
4.  The season will end after NFL Week 16. NFL Week 17 has no bearing on any results.
5.  In case of a tie in entering the playoffs or for the best non-playoff record, the criterion for breaking the tie will be those guidelines set forth by Yahoo.
6.  Final interpretation of all rules in case of dispute is left to Commissioner Josh Freeman.
7.  All scoring will be based on scores posted on Yahoo. No other scores or stats will be considered official.

II. Fees

1.  There is no entry fee for the season. All entrants are entitled to enter the draft and submit a game roster for every week of the season.
2.  All player transactions are free.
3.  The top four places will receive prizes determined by Commissioner Josh Freeman.

III. Rosters & Draft

1.  Game rosters must be submitted to the website by midnight (PST) Saturday or by the cutoff time set by Yahoo, whichever comes first. A Week 1 roster must be submitted or else the first week's game is forfeited. The preference of the league is to have all rosters in to allow sufficient time for opponents to view rosters. If a player has a Thursday or Saturday game, that player must be set on the starting roster before the start of their first game.
2.  Rosters should be submitted via Yahoo. If this is not possible, please call or e-mail your roster to Commissioner Josh Freeman before rosters are due.
3.  Each game roster must have:
   •  1 Quarterback
   •  2 Running Backs
   •  2 Wide Receivers
   •  1 Tight Ends
   •  1 Wide Receiver / Tight End
   •  1 Defensive Team
   •  1 Kicker
4.  A team may have up to fourteen (14) players on their total roster but may only start nine (9). There is no requirement that a team have more than nine (9) players.
5.  There will be a 14-round draft to begin on 8/26/07. Transactions are permitted on the day following the completion of the draft.
6.  The last week which trades can be made will be NFL Week 12. No trades may occur after the twelfth game in the fantasy season has been played.

IV. Games & Scoring

1.  Each week games will be conducted on a head-to-head basis, the goal being to accumulate more points than your opponent for that week. Only players on the game roster will be used to accumulate points.
2.  All point totals will be calculated by Yahoo. Only those scores will be considered official.
3.  In the regular season, there can be wins, loses and ties.
4.  Standings will be calculated in a manner consistent with NFL standings.
5.  Scoring will accumulate in the following fashion:

   Quarterbacks, Running Backs, Wide Receivers, & Tight Ends

   •  4 pts for each passing TD
   •  6 pts for each rushing, receiving, or return TD
   •  2 pts for each two-point conversion
   •  0.25 pts for every completion
   •  0.1 pt for every 2 yards passing
   •  0.25 pts for every rushing attempt
   •  0.1 pt for every yard rushing
   •  1 pt for every reception
   •  0.1 pt for every yard receiving

   Defensive Unit

   •  1 pts for every sack
   •  2 pts for every turnover caused (fumble or interception)
   •  6 pts for every TD scored (on interception or fumble returns)
   •  2 pts for every safety or blocked kick
   •  10 pts for allowing 0 points
   •  7 pts for allowing 1-6 points
   •  4 pts for allowing 7-13 points
   •  1 pt for allowing 14-20 points
   •  0 pts for allowing 21-27 points
   •  -1 pt for allowing 28-34 points
   •  -4 pts for allowing 35+ points

   Kicker

   •  3 pts for each FG (0-39)
   •  4 pts for each FG (40-49)
   •  5 pts for each FG (50+)
   •  1 pt for each XP

1.  The following teams and owners are in the league, broken out by division:

   Thug Life Division

2.  The teams will be in three divisions. Each team will play members of its division twice, and all other teams one time apiece.
3.  The schedule will be posted online.

VI. Modification Clause

1.  Because the league is being run on Yahoo, the commissioner reserves the right to alter or modify the rules, in the best interest of the league, over the course of the season, in order to promote the smooth flowing of the league.

VII. Protection

1.  There will be no protection policy for this year.
