Best of 2005: The Year in Film

In what has become an annual tradition at this web site, a few select critics gather together each year to nominate their picks for the best films of the year. Sometimes, these picks line up quite nicely with those put forth at the Academy Awards, and, other times, they go off in rather unusual directions. Decide for yourself where this year’s picks fall.

As was the case from 2002-2004, Potpourri has asked seven of the most frequent Proudest Monkeys contributors to compile their "Best of 2005" lists. Here's what we've got:
